Tip-enhanced spectroscopy characterization of 2D materials - postdoctoral researcher

Join our cutting-edge research team in Prague! Are you an expert on scanning probe microscopy? Do you have a passion for world-class research on spectroscopy and 2D materials? We invite you to join the team of Dr. Otakar Frank, the Head of the Department of Electrochemical Materials, to work on a project focused on nanoscale characterization of 2D materials with controlled structural disorder.

You will be responsible for tip-enhanced Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy studies and advanced scanning probe microscopy characterization, including electrical and mechanical modes, mostly on mechanically exfoliated 2D materials with engineered defects. You will work within the framework of a collaborative project with Free University Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. You will also be co-responsible for the instrument, collaborate with other members of the Nanocarbon Group from the teams of Dr. Matěj Velický and Dr. Martin Kalbáč, and supervise younger colleagues.
